If you’ve seen any of my other videos then you probably know that I talk about water and hydration…a lot. We’ve known intuitively that drinking water is part of a healthy diet and now there is preliminary evidence from a study done at Virginia Tech University that drinking two cups of water before meals, that’s 16 oz or one average bottle of water, can help induce more weight loss over the course of a year than by calorie restriction alone. The important point that I’d like to get across is that drinking enough water everyday is vital to your health. Every tissue in the body uses water to function properly. Again drinking at least 2 to 3 liters per day is best. Dr. Mark Savant is a General Internist.
